Locate your Portfolio ID

Sometimes (hopefully never), our Customer Support Team might ask you to provide your Portfolio ID in order to investigate a specific reported issue. The Portfolio ID is a unique string of characters used to identify your portfolio. As you can imagine, to review an inconvenience is extremely important for our developers to know where they need to look for the bug, for that reason, we use the unique, individual portfolio ID.

In this brief article, we explain, step-by-step, how you can copy your Portfolio ID boon in a computer or in our mobile apps.

From your PC:

To obtain your Portfolio ID from your PC or laptop is extremely simple. If you are using the Blox web platform, you will notice that every time you access one of your portfolios, the URL changes. This is because each portfolio has an unique URL.

This URL will be like this: https://app.blox.io/portfolio/XXX.

Simply copy the string you have after …/portfolio/ and send it to our team! Here you have an example:

From mobile:

If you are using our mobile apps, the process to extract your portfolio ID is slightly different. Firstly, you need to go to the portfolio tab and tap the name of your portfolio. Immediately after, you’ll see a new list on the bottom of the screen, listing all your portfolios.

There, all you need to do is to tap the “Edit” button. Here you have a couple of screenshots showing you where everything is located:

Now you are in the edit mode where you can remove or edit the name of your portfolio. However, if you tap the “pencil” icon near to the name, you will also find an option to copy your Portfolio ID. You don’t need to manually copy it. Simply click on the button and the ID will be automatically copied.

Like we said in the beginning, hopefully, you will never need to follow these steps, but now you know where to go in case you want to report an issue or ask a question about your accounts.

Remember that if you find an issue or a bug in your portfolio, do not hesitate to contact us at support@blox.io and we will be more than happy to assist.
