Informative Guide – Blox Reporting

At Blox, we understand the importance of exporting your data for financial records and accounting purposes. It is our goal to always provide you with easy-to-use and powerful features to complete your tasks.

With our new Reporting section, you are able to export CSV reports, for:

  1.  Historical Transactions
  2. Transactions you wish to import into QuickBooks
  3. Transactions you wish to import into Xero
  4. Daily Balance Snapshots

This informative guide will walk you through the steps of exporting your Blox transaction history into .CSV files using our new Reporting tool on the Blox platform.

Export Transactions .CSV To Blox

By using the Blox template, you will be able to export transactions according to your specific needs and formatted into a regular CSV template. This is identical to exporting from the Transaction Table, but even easier!

 

Follow the steps below to export your transaction into a .CSV report.

 

  • Click on the Reporting tab’s icon, a small graph icon on the left sidebar. This will reveal a new menu.
  • Select the transaction information you wish to see in your final report
  • Filter Fields include:
    • Choose the portfolio you would like to work with
    • Select the final date range
    • Select the asset type you would like to include
    • Choose what type of operation
    • Select the account you would like to include
  • After selecting your final filter options, please select the Blox template.
  • The final file will quickly process before automatically downloading.

Export Transactions .CSV To Quickbooks

Using the Quickbooks template will allow you to export transactions according to specific needs and formatted for use with

Quickbooks. This feature lets you customize the data before exporting.

 

Follow the steps below to export transactions to .CSV into Quickbooks software.

 

  • Click on the Reporting tab’s icon, a small graph icon on the left sidebar. This will reveal a new menu.
  • Select the transaction information you wish to see in your final report
  • Filter Fields include:
    • Choose the portfolio you would like to work with
    • Select the final date range
    • Select the asset type you would like to include
    • Choose what type of operation
    • Select the account you would like to include
  • After selecting your final filter options, please select the Quickbooks template.
  • Once selected, you will have the option to customize the report.
    • Please select your Description: This field has multiple options such as asset, units + asset, operation + units + assets, or leave empty)
    • Date and Amount are locked fields
  • Please click the Download Quickbooks Report button.
    • Before processing, the quantity and date range of transactions will appear.
  • The final file will quickly process before automatically downloading.

Export Transactions .CSV To Xero

Using the Xero template will allow you to export transactions according to specific needs and formatted for use with Xero. This feature lets you customize the data before exporting.

 

Follow the steps below to export transactions to .CSV into Xero software.

 

  • Click on the Reporting tab’s icon, a small graph icon on the left sidebar. This will reveal a new menu.
  • Select the transaction information you wish to see in your final report
  • Filter Fields include:
    • Select the portfolio you would like to work with
    • Select the final date range
    • Select the asset type you would like to include
    • Select the type of operation
    • Select the account you would like to include
  • After selecting your final filter options, please select the Xero template.
  • Once selected, you will have the option to customize the report.
    • Date and Amount are locked fields.
    • The remaining fields are customizable:
      • Payee: Description, Tx Type, Reference, Account Code
      • Description: Operation, Asset, Units + Assets, Operation + Units + Assets, Notes, Tx Hash, Account, Unit Price, Classification.
      • Transaction Type: Operation or Classification
      • Reference: Tx hash or Notes
      • Account Code: Only Account is selectable
  • Please click the Download Quickbooks Report button.
    • Before processing, the quantity and date range of transactions will appear.
  • The final file will quickly process before automatically downloading.
