CSV Export from Blox

This tutorial will guide you through the process of exporting your files from Blox, into .CSV format to upload into your general ledger software (Ex: Quckbooks, Xero)

How To Export Transactions Into .CSV

  • Log into Blox.io.
  • Export transactions by selecting the Transaction tab.
  • Click on Export CSV.
  • Please note, you can download your complete and entire tx history or use our filter options for a specific date range.
  • You will then be prompted with a window to select your download location.
  • Choose your location and click save.
  • Open your .CSV file to view your transactions or begin formatting.
 

Exporting Snapshots into .CSV

  • Click on the Overview tab.
  • In the Portfolio Snapshot (right-sidebar), click on the little blue arrow box.
  • It will download the entire history of snapshots for the month to-date. (You can choose to select a specific month to download).
  • You will then be prompted with a window to select your download location.
  • Choose your location and click save.
  • Open your .CSV file to view your snapshots.
    • You will notice a folder for each day.
      • Within each day’s folder are 3 separate files:
        • Overview: A comprehensive view of all your portfolio assets and accounts.
        • Accounts: List of accounts, current value and more.
        • Assets: A full list of all your assets and their portfolio information.
 

Exporting Specific Date Snapshots into .CSV

  • Click on the Overview tab.
  • In the Portfolio Snapshot (right-sidebar), you can select and click a specific day to export.
  • Once the snapshot for the specific day appears, click on the Export CSV button.
  • You will then be prompted with a window to select your download location.
  • Choose your location and click save.
  • Open your .CSV file to view your snapshots.
    • You will notice a folder for each day.
      • Within each day’s folder are 3 separate files:
        • Overview: A comprehensive view of all your portfolio assets and accounts.
        • Accounts: List of accounts, current value and more.
        • Assets: A full list of all your assets and their portfolio information.
